Join United Way at our annual Refresh a Classroom, hosted by Women United and sponsored by Burns & McDonnell, to help teachers at Richardson Early Learning Center and Woodland Early Learning Center (Kansas City Public Schools) prepare to welcome students back to school. Volunteers will assist with classroom setup tasks like hanging bulletin board materials, cleaning and getting supplies ready for students.
We are seeking 60 volunteers (30 for each location). This event is open to all community members, Women United Members and their colleagues, supervised older children (13+) and friends. Refresh A Classroom is a fun way to support both teachers and students - we anticipate volunteer spots will fill quickly so be sure to RSVP soon. Activities will include unpacking boxes, stocking shelves with supplies, bulletin boards and general help with classroom set up. Coffee and refreshments will be provided to fuel your efforts!
Join us at one of the two locations:
Richardson Early Learning Center: 3515 Park Avenue Kansas City, MO 64109

Woodland Early Learning Center: 711 Woodland Avenue Kansas City, MO 64106
