The Leopold Educational Foundation

ABOUT US

The Leopold Gallery Educational Foundation underwrites the financial needs of Paseo Academy and Sumner Academy in Kansas City. We are sponsored by the United Way of Greater Kansas City, who hold and distribute all donations. Leopold Gallery does not have access to the funds--as it should be.

Both of these are stellar urban schools that would not have functioning art departments without our assistance. Our mission is to get high school seniors into college. Since 2006, Paul Dorrell has raised $350,000 for these schools, has taken 1600 students on educational field trips, and helped 1000 get into college. In 2025 Paul was voted Arts Patron of the Year by the State of Kansas for his cultural, financial and philanthropic impact, and received a similar award from Kansas City, MO.
