The holiday season is a time for togetherness, gratitude, and giving—and what better way to celebrate than by coming together to make a positive impact? We invite you to gather your friends, coworkers, and family for an opportunity to connect, serve, and spread joy through volunteering.



We invite you to step away from the busyness of the season and do something truly meaningful: lifting others up, strengthening our community, and creating memories that last far beyond the holidays. We hope to see you there!



Open Volunteer Opportunities:

• December 4th: 9:00am-11:00am -(Hosted by Women United, open to all) Growing Futures - Set up Winter Break store that provide essential items to families
• December 5th: 8:30am-12:00pm - The Soul of Santa "Do Good" Foundation - Sorting and distributing food; welcoming clients; assisting with flow of distribution
• December 16th: 2:30pm-4:30pm Della Lamb Community Services - Volunteering with preschoolers and organizing spaces



Currently Full:

• December 15th: 9:00am-11:00am - Hope Faith Homeless Assistance Campus - Organize clothing and put together winter warmth kits

• December 16th: 9:30am-12:30pm - Rose Brooks Center - Assist with sorting and organizing holiday donations



In-Kind Holiday Donations:

Can’t make it to an event or volunteering shift this season? You can still spread warmth and joy by donating much-needed items to support our community.

• If you are not volunteering on-site, donations may be dropped off at the United Way of Greater Kansas City offices by December 3rd.



You can also order from our Amazon Wishlist winter items and ship to our office with a delivery date before December 8th HERE.



Donation Needs:

1. Della Lamb Community Services – New or gently used coats for infants through adults
2. Hope Faith Homeless Assistance Campus – Winter clothing: coats, gloves, hats, socks, pants, and boots
3. The Soul of Santa "Do Good" Foundation – Nonperishable holiday food items or hygiene kits for families in need
4. Rose Brooks Center – New, unwrapped gifts for children or adult survivors
5. Growing Futures - Paper towels + toilet paper
